A word of encouragement

from the Pastor Charles, may it bless your day!  In 2 Peter 1:4 Peter writes about the immeasurable blessings from God through the knowledge of  Him.  One of the blessings listed is having escaped the corruption in the world because of sinful desire.

It is interesting to me that Peter used the word escaped, a compound Greek word meaning, to run off.

He did not say Christ rescued us, although that is true.  Peter painted a picture of Christ providing the escape route and we choosing to run from the danger into His loving arms.

My encouragement for all of us today is to consider the challenges we currently face; the trials in our families, at work, and even at church.

Whatever your situation is the abundant blessing from knowing Christ is that you have access to Him!  Run to Jesus!  Allow Him to be your escape.

Allow Him to be your refuge.

Prayer: “Father in Heaven, we pray that You would be our resting place.

The challenges we face in this fallen world can be so tough.

We run to You now, and commit our challenges into Your capable hands.

In Jesus Name, Amen.  God’s blessings to you.
